What is a day in the life of an IIAD student like? What is the campus environment like? Find out more about all kinds of activities, excursions, clubs and events. Get the feel of the IIAD ambience, energy and vibe.
There’s a sense of something happening in the air with energetic chatter, the hum of machines and the clinking of tools infusing the atmosphere. All around students are engaged in lively debates and discussions.
The Fashion Construction Lab is part of the Fashion Studio which houses all necessary equipment for seamless creation of garments.
The campus has two digital resource centres. One in the basement and one on the second floor - equipped with Mac computers for students to access digital resources and softwares.
The outdoor seating space is where students can socialise and the attached cafeteria is the go to eatery on campus.
IIAD’s photography lab is equipped with tools like professional lighting, backgrounds and screens made available for the process of documentation of products and garments.
The IIAD library has more than 4000 resource access points for students to utilise online and offline both.
Design students experiment with a lot of materials and equipment and to polish these skill sets we have a designated workshop lab.
Our campus reflects the dynamic needs of 21st century design education. The 85,000 square feet campus is custom-built to suit the pedagogical practices and curriculum at IIAD.
Prime facilities include the Material Workshop, Garment Construction Lab, Photography Lab, Mac Labs and Studio Spaces. Modular studios allow for flexible space-utilisation, facilitating fluid movement between different settings such as lectures, demo, skill-labs, project-work and critiques. There is ample exhibition space for a spectacular display of Art/Design work. Recreational spaces, the cafeteria, and an in-house print and stationery shop are other points of interest – your hotspots at IIAD. The studio environment is lively and interactive, letting your individuality evolve into a unique creative identity.

The experience of hostel life is a special time in your life. This is the beginning of your new home away from home. Separate facilities for girls and boys are conveniently located and equipped with all basic amenities. These locations have accessibility to daily needs such as shopping, entertainment, health and medical requirements.
Located in East of Kailash, one of the most affluent residential neighbourhoods of South Delhi, the Hostel is close to the Metro Station. The accommodation is well-furnished, equipped with modern amenities, includes meals and 24×7 security. It is located close to restaurants, cafes, food courts, movie theatres, department stores and more.

A wonderful kaleidoscope of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities awaits you on the IIAD campus. Students engage in a multitude of events and societies, ranging from dance, music, theater, photography, poetry, social work and many more. Join a society of your choice to explore your areas of interest and hobbies, and find your community of like-minded people.
The Core Council is the epicentre of all such student activities. It is a squad of enthusiastic and committed design students entrusted with the task of putting together various cultural events and social get-togethers throughout the year. With support from the various student societies, they also organise IIAD’s annual cultural inter-college fest REMIX.

As a means to inculcate multi-disciplinary learning, M.K. Raina (Actor & Director) and Maya Rao (Theater Artist) conducted several sessions with IIAD students about public speaking, theater and storytelling.
REMIX 2019 - The budding actors, directors and set designers showcased their talent through a narrative encompassing all the essential elements as they performed street plays.
Remix celebrates creativity with its intercollege thematic events, offering a blend of multiple creative genres, uniting creative thinking with a mutual motive of self-expression.
To celebrate the festival of lights, IIAD’s Core Council organised a fun filled evening of games, dhols and diyas on the campus premises.
Past trips have included Fatehpur Sikri at Agra, Virasat-e-Khalsa at Anantapur, Maheshwar, Pushkar, Barmer, Lucknow, Varanasi, Pondicherry, Nagaland and Bhutan.
Field trips within the city to factories, markets, events, exhibitions and expos let you experience the larger social and commercial environment to support your design work.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding your academic courses, the cell is your first point of contact. They are there to resolve your queries by addressing all issues related to attendance, documents, appeals and complaints.
Every student at IIAD is assigned a “Personal Tutor” from our team of tutors who will closely guide and support you through your academic journey with personalised interactions.
IIAD aims to provide a supportive environment for your academic pursuits, with an integrated, inclusive and holistic approach for wellness. Our partner in this venture is Mind Piper, a mental health organisation based in Delhi. We ensure confidential and anonymised individual counselling. Community sessions for peer support are organised in order to build a strong, connected student body. These services are available on campus and are backed up by online counselling as well.
