• Am I eligible for the programme?

Candidates with 10+2 or equivalent in any stream (Science, Commerce, Humanities/Arts) with an aggregate of minimum 50% are eligible to apply. Candidates appearing for Class XII examination in the current academic year or awaiting results may also apply.

• Syllabus and pattern of entrance exam?

The screening process at IIAD aims to test the merit of a candidate based on their aptitude for design learning. The IIAD Entrance test has two components, which vary based on the course you apply for. Refer to the table given in this section to check your course requirements.

• IIAD Design Aptitude Test (iDAT)

The IIAD Design Aptitude Test (iDAT) is a written test designed to assess a candidate’s creative and visual ability, cultural awareness and logical thinking. The exam paper is a combination of visual tasks, writing tasks, one-word answers and multiple choice.

• What is the scholarship process?

IIAD provides merit-cum-means scholarships to deserving students. All students who qualify the IIAD Entrance Test are eligible to apply for scholarships. The information about applying for a scholarship will be made available along with the offer of admission.

• Is campus placement offered at IIAD?

IIAD is connected with 200+ organizations across the industry for placements, collaborative projects and student internships. IIAD encourages students to explore internship opportunities throughout the duration of their chosen program. At the end of the 2nd year students are encouraged to complete an 8 week internship. In the third year a Career Building Internship of 16 weeks duration is mandatory. Credits are awarded based on work done during the internship. In the final year students undergo a 6 month Major Design Project which can be in conjunction with the industry.

• Does the Institute help students get internship programmes?

The Career Services Division cell at IIAD provides complete internship and placement support with a 91% placement record. Some of the companies that have visited the campus previously are Pero, 11:11, FabIndia, Amit Aggarwal, Thevasa, Aditya Birla among many others.
