Fashion Design

Richa Sood has 18 years of experience in Fashion business, with core expertise in garment and print design. She has been consulting as a design head for Nirrammya, a leading brand in the middle east and worked intensively with; Tarun Tahiliani and Rohit Bal. Apart from ready-to-wear, couture and bridal collections, she designed for brands like, Wills Lifestyle, Karmic and Biba, with expertise in handling prestigious clients.

Richa has been associated with the Pearl Academy of Fashion, as a visiting faculty for over 8 years, with teaching interests in illustrations, design process, fashion styling and design research.

Following her interest in exploring textile textures, she also indulged in designing home furnishing for Hemitex, Germany. She has also worked in exports catering to the U.K and U.S markets.

Participating in “International Fashion Illustration competition, Richa was selected among top finalists, and work showcased at the Hong Kong International Trade and Exhibition Centre.

Completing her Masters in Fashion from Nottingham Trent University, U.K (in affiliation with Pearl Academy), her work was exhibited, along with international designers, at “The Generation Fashion“, (international avant-garde fashion exhibition), Stadtmuseum, Düsseldorf, Germany. Being a graduate from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi, she was the national winner of the Smirnoff International
Fashion Awards (SIFA) representing India at the international finals of SIFA 2001, held in Toronto, Canada.
