Ankit Bharadwaj, Lecturer, Interior Architecture & Design (IIAD), shares with News9live an insight on 2024 Colour trends for Interiors and Home Decor. In his forecast, he also discusses colour trends that were previously fashionable but are now deemed outdated or too dominant.
Ankit emphasizes, “The colours in your life can bring drama, sophistication, life, joy and depth to interior spaces. Colour plays a pivotal role in setting the mood, defining spaces, and expressing personal style. While the appeal of dark hues can bring depth, sophistication, and a touch of drama to interiors, there exists a fine line between tasteful elegance and overused monotony. There are many colours which were rich and tasteful in the past years but have taken a back seat with recent trends. People now do not want to opt for basic colours that are dark, rich and overshadow the place, instead, they want to try neon, eye-catching, pastel and vibrant hues.”
