And Academy – Taking The Learning Forward

Just like designers, IIAD is continuously evolving and growing, we embrace problems to convert them into opportunities. The pandemic brought us just that - a major problem, transforming our hands-on approach to design learning into a completely new platform - digital. Our alma mater is based on hands-on training where emphasis is given to practising and learning through doing. In the spirit of IIAD, we embraced this problem and came up with innovative methods to replicate the same studio experiences. We invested in digital technology that the world’s best universities are using and upgraded the synergy between tech and our teaching pedagogy. 

Taking this learning forward, a simple conversation that started in a conference room turned into AND Academy - a first-of-its-kind, online upskilling platform dedicated to design education. In its 6 months of existence, from launching to enrolling the second cohort of students, AND has grown from strength to strength. This was all possible because of the cumulative experience that the core team of  academicians at AND Academy have gained over the last 8 years at IIAD.

Breaking conventional barriers, IIAD embraces the future of learning through AND Academy’s unique live online interactive classes that emulate classroom-like learning. As part of our continuing endeavour to contribute industry-ready design professionals we have created a growing community of mentors from various fields like User Research, User experience, Print and Publishing, Branding, Graphic design etc. 

Conceptualised to also bring design learning and upskilling for working professionals, AND Academy’s diploma classes are conducted in the evenings. With students enrolled in courses for Graphic Design, Interior Design and UX Design, it is on its way, making design education accessible, affordable and industry-relevant.

AND Academy offers a range of PG Diploma courses in Graphic Design and Interior Design and Diploma programmes in Graphic Design, Interior Design, User Experience Design and Motion Graphics.
