TIPS FOR DESIGN PROFESSIONALS
To be able to ace the virtual sphere as a design professional you need:
1. Clear and enthusiastic communication: The industry values extroversion, not extroverts. Even the quietest person must express their opinions to keep up.
2. Flexibility and elasticity of thought: Empathy training and discipline must be married to the ever-changing dynamics of virtuality. Learnability and application of knowledge matter more here than prior experience!
3. High adjustment and agile thinking: The virtual scape changes from day to day. Pre-empting work conditions is a skill designers use to stay afloat as plans change. This skill is learned best with experience.
4. Courteousness, clarity and care: Virtualization has integrated the workspace with software like Miro, Slack, Teams, Trello and the like. Thus, how well we complete tasks has to come from us now.
