Faculty Achievements (Academic Year 2022-23)

The academic year 2022-23 witnessed exceptional achievements from the esteemed faculty members of the institution. Their relentless pursuit of knowledge and commitment to research has led to remarkable contributions in their respective fields. As part of The Responsible Fashion Series - The Silk Roads Journey, Turkestan, the fashion design faculty members presented insightful research papers, delving into topics like classrooms and cohorts, identity in the post-pandemic world, and more. Additionally, faculty members from various disciplines, including interior architecture and design, also made significant strides in their fields, participating in prestigious events, conferences, and workshops. These accomplishments highlight the institution's dedication to fostering intellectual growth and innovation among its faculty and furthering the mission of responsible and sustainable practices in the world of fashion and design.

As part of The Responsible Fashion Series -The Silk Roads Journey, Turkestan, our fashion design faculty members presented the following research papers:

1. Paper Title: Classrooms And Cohorts In Courtyards and Beyond Co-authored by: Saumya Pande (Course leader, Professor, Fashion Design, IIAD) and Richa Sood (Associate Professor, Fashion Design, IIAD)

2. Paper Title: Identity in the Post Pandemic World Co-authored by: Shipra Kukreja (Associate Professor, Fashion Design, IIAD) and Ginu George (Lecturer, Fashion Design, IIAD)

The Responsible Fashion Series originated as part of the Fashion Colloquia collection of events founded by four institutions: London College of Fashion, Parsons school of Fashion and Design in New York, IFM, Paris and Domus from Milan. This new series reflects the need for fashion to take on a new mature and responsible approach for supporting the future of fashion.

• SHUBHANKAR GOSWAMI

Shubhankar Goswami, Lecturer, Interior Architecture & Design delivered a performance lecture at RITES, the Annual festival of the Sociology Department held on 10th April 2023 at Department of Sociology, Hindu College, University of Delhi’. Shubhankar's talk provided a fascinating insight into an ongoing conceptual piece called the Museum of Migration.

As a part of E-Xplore the Globe:India Webinar organised by Coventry University, UK, IIAD conductED an interactive online session on “The Narrative of movement in Indian Architecture”, on 25th April 2023. The session was conducted by Shubhankar Goswami (Lecturer, Interior Architecture & Design-IIAD).

Snehanshu Mukherjee (Course Leader, Professor, Interior Architecture Design) was part of ‘Reviving Practice of Indic Architecture - From Libraries to laboratories ’ conclave held at Department of Heritage Science and Technology, IIT-Hyderabad on April 22, 2023.

ANUPAMA DATT (Assistant Professor, Fashion Design) presented a paper titled ‘Punjab Textiles - Beyond Phulkari’ at International conference at Textiles & Clothing Research Centre (TCRC), New Delhi, India.
