Foundation Diploma in Design Awarded to IIAD Students

IIAD as an institution has always believed in celebrating the milestones, however big or small they may be. Completing the foremost year in their design education journey, that is the Foundation Year, is a commendable feat that the students at IIAD have achieved. The second batch of design students at IIAD successfully completed their Foundation Year and embarked on an exciting journey into the next level that entails exploring their chosen design discipline in its entirety.

The day commenced with all the students gathering in the foyer of the campus and awaiting eagerly to witness the proceedings of the day. The Founder Director, Dr. Jitin Chadha, took to the stage and congratulated all the students on the successful completion of their Foundation Year in Design. He appreciated the efforts put in by each student as they chartered their way through the rigours of the foundation year. The Director’s address was followed by that of IIAD’s Dean, Prof. Usha Nehru Patel, who encouraged the students to push their limits and reach for greater creative accomplishments as they progress in their design education.

Then came the most awaited moment of the day, the awarding of the Diplomas to the anxious students who waited with bated breath to proudly strike a pose with their certificates as a mark of successfully achieving their first milestone of their design journey. This was followed by an emotionally charged address by Ms. Prachi Mittal, Academic Head of the Foundation Year Programme at IIAD. Her words were received with a thunderous applause from the students who resonated with each and everything that she stated with respect to their learnings in the year gone by.

The event concluded on a high note with the host of the event, Ms. Bhavvna Jolly, Manager Corporate Communications and Outreach, sharing an inspiring message with the students that said - Trust yourself. Create the kind of self that you will be happy to live with, all your life. Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny, inner sparks of possibility into flames of achievement.
