IIAD – Batch of 2023 | Orientation Week

IIAD organized an Orientation Week for its fresh batch of energetic design students. The aim of the Orientation Week, spread over 5 days, was to help them open up, meet their peers and Faculty and familiarize themselves with the campus. A plethora of activities were planned where students got the opportunity to unveil their interests and showcase their talents.

Fresh from School, with lots of dreams and aspirations, these budding designers had a great time on the first day of their Foundation program, which kicked off with interesting ice-breaker activities.

On the second day, students were given the task to translate a “Self Portrait” as a design for a T-shirt. This helped the students to introspect and identify what they truly were passionate about. Focus on the Self is a must for every design aspirant.

The third day of the Orientation week was an action-packed day where they performed a “skit” in groups, using exciting props. The stories and the amusing role-plays entertained the audience greatly.

On the fourth day, the “Know Your Peers” activity helped the new students familiarize themselves with their peers’ interests and passions and laid the foundation of a solid friendship which they will fostered over the next 4 years of their design journey at IIAD.

On the last day of the Orientation Week, the new batch was given the herculean task of organizing a Food Fest at the IIAD campus. The Food Fiesta turned out to be a spectacular show and nothing less than a gastronomic treat! The Food Fest ended on a high note and students are all pepped up and ready to start their design journey with IIAD.

On the occasion, IIAD’s Founder Director, Dr. Jitin Chadha, was happy to observe that the new batch had an enjoyable ice breaking experience during the Orientation Week. On what lies ahead, he said, “Everyday there will be a new challenge that will make you push through the limit of your thinking. You are encouraged to make mistakes and at IIAD we will enable you to work on those mistakes and master them.”
