The Talk - Make. Know. Sense. is an initiative by the Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD) that aims to connect IIAD students with their alumni in a free relaxed space. The platform provides an open forum and discussion with the faculties, alumni, and IIAD current students. Series of events are planned where two alumni would come over to IIAD campus and share their experiences and professional journey. This initiative allows students to connect with their alumni and learn from their experiences. Alumni can share their insights and knowledge about the industry, which can help the students gain a better understanding of the field of interior design. The show provides an opportunity for students to ask questions, seek advice, and network with their alumni. By attending these events, students can gain valuable insights into the industry and learn from the experiences of their alumni.
Make. Know. Sense. Episode 1:
The first episode of the talk show was informative, engaging and fun, with the speakers sharing their experiences and tips on becoming a successful UX designer. The show highlighted the importance of understanding user behaviour, design thinking, technical skills and networking, along with the role of psychology and research in UI/UX design.
The event was an excellent opportunity for the current IIAD students to learn from industry experts and get inspired to pursue a career in this field. Talk showcased the talent and achievements of alumni and provided valuable guidance to the current students. User Experience (UX) versus User Interface (UI) Design is a topic that is often discussed in the design world, and it is essential to understand the differences, similarities, skills and everything else you need to know. Overall, the talk was an excellent initiative that brought together industry experts and students to share knowledge and inspire the next generation of designers.
Make Know Sense, Episode -2:
The latest episode of the show featured two alumni from the Interior Architecture and Design program, Himanshi Dhandich and Simran Bhatia. The show's format creates an informal environment for conversation, questions and humour, providing a valuable resource for anyone interested in the field. Himanshi highlighted the importance of taking a collaborative approach to design and exploring ways to engage users in the way they experience the space. Simran Bhatia, a graduate of IIAD's first batch of Interior Architecture and Design, shared her journey from being a design student to a successful professional.
During the Q&A session, students asked questions about Pinterest designs and how interior designers help clients meet their expectations. The show also included a rapid-fire round, where guests were asked fun questions about their time at IIAD.
