Entrance exams must be passed before an applicant may be accepted into a fashion design programme. Entrance exams for fashion design students include the NIFT entrance exam, CEED, UCEED, NID entrance exam, IIAD entrance exam, AIEED, and others.
A diploma or certificate programme might last anywhere from one to two years. Passing the 10+2 with a minimum of 50% marks from an Indian accredited institute is required for a diploma or certificate degree.
For undergraduate courses, the qualifying standards remain the same. A Bachelor of Fashion Design programme lasts three to four years. A BSc Fashion Designing programme lasts the same amount of time and is divided into six semesters. Students with a BSc in Fashion Designing can work in a variety of fields, including accessory design, footwear design, jewellery design, and textile design — as already mentioned above in length. The requirements for a BSc Fashion Designing programme remain the same, albeit admissions can be either direct or via an entrance exam.
