Shreya Arora (Communication Design) Wins Best Script at the Women's International Film Festival Los Angeles
The animated film ‘Women’s Folklore’ by our Communication Design student Shreya Arora has won the Best Short Script Award (Runner Up) in Women’s Independent Film Festival, L.A through Freeway International Film Festival.
‘Women’s Folkore’ is an effort towards building a safe space and raising awareness regarding sex and gender. The film is a voice for young adults who are curious and open to talking about sex, gender, equality and love!
Women’s Folklore is an animated film that talks about women and is from different women’s perspectives. The treatment/style of the animation is using cut-out pictures and animating them. The purpose of the film is to create awareness, build a safe space, raise a conversation in everyone’s mind on gender (men and women) and equality and articulate that it is healthy to talk about sex or gender or love or equality is the aim of the film. The target audience for the film will be women from 20 to 30 years of age, their curious minds and the ability to share during these years are higher than those of the other age groups. For men, on the other hand, it is going to be a reactive audience.

Architectural Digest features IIAD student work
IIAD’s Interior Architecture and Design students have been featured in Architectural Digest - India magazine. The project titled ‘Reimagining Heritage’ at Sunder Nursery, Delhi has been recognised for its excellence and innovative concepts.

IIAD Students Win The Park Elle Decor Student Contest 2023
Isha Gupta, fourth year student of Interior Architecture & Design won The Park Elle Decor Student Contest 2023 for her 'Experiential Spaces Project' under the Interior Design category.
Nitika Jain, third year student of Interior Architecture & Design was given an Honorary Mention for her 'Heritage Design Project' at The Park Elle Decor Student Contest 2023 under the Interior Design category.
The Park Elle Decor Student Contest 2023 held at India Design ID, NSIC Grounds - Okhla, New Delhi provides a platform for young artists and designers to take the initiative in bringing their design ideas to life.
The winning design project by Isha Gupta (final year student, IIAD) was on ‘Craft Integration - Experiential Spaces’. It brings forth a sensitive approach to revitalise the traditional practices to elevate the spirit of the space and re-engage people of all ages. It focuses on taking care of a person's both mental and physical needs.
Nitika Jain (student, IIAD) won an Honorary Mention by the jury for her project on NVR Experience. NVR stands for Non-Visual Reasoning referring to the ability to understand and analyse the information and solve problems through verbal reasoning. The design is created as a result of extensive user requirement and analysis.

Kanika Aggarwal, student of Interior Architecture & Design was selected to present her Major Design Project Research Paper - Need for Flexibility at the International Conference on the Built Environment (ICBE 2023) organized by the Jindal School of Art and Architecture held in April 2023.
FBM Students Won First Prize at Amity Youth Festival
FBM students (Anshika Jenny Toppo, Navya Jain, Tanisha Madhogaria, Kanishka Koli, Mansha Tanwar) created a garment based on the theme ‘Create the Met Gala Look Celebrating Sustainability’. There were 50 participants from Institutes such as Satyam Fashion Institute, Amity University, Chandigarh University, Apeejay Stya University, Maxx Academy etc.
Kartik Mahalwal (Fashion Design student) in the Top 10 Pepe Jeans Competition
Kartik Mahalwal, a talented student of Fashion Design, achieved great recognition as he secured a spot among the top 10 finalists in the prestigious Pepe Jeans competition 2023. This renowned competition, organized and overseen by India's first male supermodel, Mr. Marc Robinson, revolved around the captivating theme of "Blue Nation" with a specific focus on exploring and pushing the boundaries of denim. In the initial round, participants were required to showcase their understanding of the theme, the mood of their envisioned looks, and their final design concepts on paper. Drawing inspiration from the iconic 1950s era when denim emerged as a symbol of style, Kartik brilliantly presented his mood board and designs. His exceptional talent and unique vision propelled him into the esteemed ranks of the top 10 finalists, offering him invaluable exposure within the garment and fashion industry. This remarkable achievement marks a significant turning point in Kartik's budding career, cementing his place as a promising force to be reckoned with in the world of fashion
