Title: Using crisis to imagine the future – Reflections on the frame-work of pedagogical technology used for remote learning to create a near-studio based learning experience.
Abstract: “Thinking through making” and project-based learning being at the centre of our institutional ideology, the pandemic threatened our very core. In this presentation, we focus on the integrated framework of pedagogical technological tools (analog and digital) that were used to create a near in-studio academic experience. We critically examine the effectiveness of each tool from the point of view of two users - tutors and learners. We apply this to imagine and propose a model that facilitates active collaboration between tutors/mentors and learners in remote locations, to create experiential and interactive learning relevant to teaching-learning of practice based disciplines, beyond the pandemic.
Presented at: TILT Annual Learning and Teaching Conference 2021, organised by Nottingham Trent University, UK.
